We can now comprehend the phenomenal expanse and capacity of algorithms that influence every aspect of our known lives. We idolize those who created them; we talk about them, we seek to learn their next move, we want to know what they think about and what they are doing. Imagine if we began to seek God and His spiritual technology with the same passion and respect?

Today is the first day of the year according to the kabbalists and it is known as Rosh Hashanah. There is a great deal of power and a multitude of gifts from the Creator available in this window of time. Cosmically, Venus is in a challenging aspect with Pluto for the first time this year. We actually are entering a spiritual battle for the next 48 hours. This battle, however, is a battle of consciousness. The lesson for today is that no matter what you believe, if you celebrate Rosh Hashanah or not, seek for spirituality and look for the Creator in your life. Fight to see the Light and the spiritual lesson in every challenge and difficult emotion that may arise. Today, our karma is dealt and revealed for the upcoming year. Our deeper life lessons are brought to the surface. But, as always, when we need to face a challenge, we can stand strong and face it with courage, because we know that behind it lies a blessing and a purpose. We seek the love and goodness that is at the root of everything in this world. In this way, we put ourselves in a space to connect to only blessings, joy, and the Light of the Creator, today, and for the coming year. 

October 1 - Rosh Hashanah Day 2

Tough Love

Have you ever experienced tough love before? Tough love is a kind of love that does not always feel so great at the moment, but over time, we learn to appreciate it, because it pushes us to reach our next spiritual level of maturation. An example of tough love is when a parent chooses not to give his or her children everything they want right away. Instead, the parent encourages the children to make an effort to earn what they desire, and in this way, they grow to be more responsible, strong, and independent. Today, Venus and Pluto are experiencing this same kind of tough love and it can possibly affect us all. The Creator wishes to impart to us everything, just as a loving parent wishes to give his or her children everything. However, sometimes, not being given what we want is really being given what we need. We do not always feel that tough love is love at all, especially during the times when our desires are not met in the manner or the timing that we had envisioned. Today, honor all the areas of your life where you are not being given what you want. Take notice of the areas where you are experiencing lack and unfulfilled desires. Be open to seeing there is love there: the Creator’s love. There is a perfect plan unfolding for you and your soul. It may not look like what you want is coming your way, but on the way to you will be exactly what you need. Being given what we authentically need, for our soul’s maturation, is the greatest kind of love of all.

Inside to Outside

Pluto is ending its five month retrograde period today. During the last five months, we were encouraged to look within, confront our “shadows”, recognize our deepest wounds, admit our secrets, and acknowledge the unpleasant parts of ourselves. Pluto is the planet of transformation. It pushes us towards meaningful change. However, this period of self-reflection and self-analysis is now over. We progress to the next phase: manifesting our inner transformation. Actively confronting difficult situations or relationships may be synergistic with Pluto’s energetic shift. Now is the time to reach out and take the necessary actions to reflect our internal transformation. Kabbalah teaches that we live in a physical world for a reason. It is not spirituality to only devote our lives to prayer and meditation. While these metaphysical actions are necessary, just as critical and vital to our spiritual evolution are the physical ones. In fact, it is our physical actions that manifest the positive energy we have created. Until we are able to manifest positive energy, does it really even exist? It is in our ability to “walk the talk” and really effect practical change in our lives are we then sure that a real change happened within.

Communication Alert!

Mercury is moving into the sign of Scorpio today. Scorpio is known for its intense and very direct energy. Since Mercury represents the way that we communicate with others, we want to be cautious in how we speak. Scorpios always search for the truth and have no problem confronting or strongly pointing out to another what they believe to be true. Starting today, pay close attention to your communication with others. Restrict any desire you may have to react in a strong and aggressive way. Remember to take time before responding. Make sure that your energy is on the softer side and does not emit in an intense manner, even if it is for the sake of truth. Sometimes the truth may hurt and our first promise as spiritual beings is to do no harm first. We will be better able to help others and the world when we lead with our hearts and lead with love.

Make Love, Not War

Mars, the planet of war, is entering into the peaceful sign of Libra. This movement can be supportive and challenging, simultaneously. Awareness is the key to utilize this transitioning in the best possible way. Mars in Libra can weaken the assertiveness of Mars and can potentially awaken in us doubts and indecisiveness for the next few weeks. Beware of this especially if you are on the path of manifesting your dreams and goals. Do not allow this energy to slow you down, affect your focus, or cloud your certainty. On the other hand, if you are in a heated conflict or if you are someone who is more confrontational and aggressive, Libra’s influence can calm you down and help you seek balance, peace, and harmony with others. Let us all connect to the positive opportunity available in this transition. Let our slogan for the next few weeks be: “Make Love, Not War.” We came to this world to develop our God-gene within, to develop our capacity to love and receive love. Now is an ideal time to take steps forward in this holy endeavor. While it may be hard to choose love over war, we are the ones who will benefit the most from this choice. Becoming the Captain of Your Own Ship

It is easier just to be alone sometimes, especially if we feel we are different than those around us. The desire to disconnect and seek solitude is the pitfall of today. The Sun is in Libra, which seeks approval, companionship, and values the opinion of others. This positioning faces a challenge with the Moon in Capricorn which will feel that solitude is the better path. Today, we should be aware of this challenge and surmount the desire to disconnect from people. Instead, proactively focus upon the value others bring into your life. Be willing to see how interacting and exchanging energy with others is vital for spiritual growth. Be interested in the opinions and company of people, for they each have a spark of the Creator within. Just Do It!

Today, we face the combination of Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Taurus. These two earthy signs help us surpass any obstacle and allow us to accomplish our goals. Oftentimes, we are clear on our goals and understand what we must do to manifest them. However, the problem lies in our lack of perseverance and we often allow obstacles, doubts, fears, and negative emotions to hold us back. Each planet has a sign that allows for its positive and balanced power to be expressed. The Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus. Since the moon is our emotional guide, today, with the help of Taurus, we can potentially be stronger and more balanced emotionally. Together, with the Sun in Virgo, creates an optimal time to get things done, from beginning to end without interruptions. Spiritually, if we continue to ask, we will eventually receive. If we continue to knock, the door will open. Desire is our greatest tool to draw Light and the blessings we seek.

The Past Is the Past, the Future Is Now

The planet Saturn is ending its time in retrograde. Saturn was in retrograde for the last four and a half months and was signaling us to reconsolidate our resources and re-evaluate our expenses and financial plans for growth. Saturn is a powerful planet that can support us in building and establishing anything in our physical reality. Since Saturn is moving direct today, we are encouraged to start a period of taking actions to manifest our goals, while taking in consideration all that we learned over the last four and a half months. When Saturn is moving direct, the energy is about moving forward. It is time to leave the past behind and use Saturn’s discipline and constructive energy to move into the future. Kabbalistically, we learn that in the month of Virgo, we have an amazing opportunity to learn from our past and envision ourselves into a new and better future. Before the kabbalistic new year starts, the beginning of the sign of Libra in a couple of weeks, it is a perfect time to take advantage of the planet Saturn’s affect and envision a brighter, clearer, and more positive future. Let us start moving in this direction today! The past is in the past, let it go. When we hold on to the past, we force our energy to be wasted upon keeping it on a spiritual “life-support”. This drains us of vital energy. When we release the past, our power returns to us and we are able to be stronger and better than ever.

The only time of the entire year that the two powerhouse planets of Mars and Pluto are in harmony is today! Mars and Pluto are known to be forceful, strong, and confident. This beautiful connection, today, can be a great motivation for us to take actions in the areas we are afraid of or only dream of taking. Of course, again, I am referring to positive actions such as conquering a fear, confronting an injustice, initiating projects, and jumping into the water. It is a time when we can be dedicated fully to any good cause. We can effectively solve problems because Pluto provides us with deep insight and the origins of our issue at hand. It is a great day to do something constructive and positive to your surroundings, as well. This can provide the needed strength and spiritual energy to sustain us through any crises or difficult time ahead. Take advantage of this tremendous cosmic support that the universe is providing and let’s conquer the world!

Stop the Insanity!

Today, we still have the residual influence of the powerful trine of Mars and Pluto, both being in earth signs. These two planets can be quite destructive when they interact in a negative way. Since the trine is a positive aspect today, their destructive forces unite in a supportive manner. How can destruction be a positive force? Today is an ideal day to eliminate and put to an end any negative habit. Since both planets have the strong ability to end things, today can be the first day to plant the seed for a future free from addictions and negative behaviors. Meditate to cultivate your desire to be free from habits that never give to you, but only take from you. Do you procrastinate, causing yourself unnecessary stress? Do you overspend? Judge others? Are you smoking? Biting your nails? Sleeping the day away? Bad habits are addictions that prove to only rob us of energy over time. They are seeds we plant that never bear fruit. Today, we can stop the insanity and use our energy to create a better future and lives for ourselves. The power and choice are always in our hands. Every day, we can choose to do better once we know better. 

September 21 - Shabbat Ki Tavo

Thinking Before We Act

With today’s challenging aspect between Jupiter and Neptune, it might be better if you kept your credit card in your pocket! Today, there is a potential to lose your head and be irresponsible and incautious. Our line of reasoning can be somewhat distorted and our vision can become clouded. Since Jupiter welcomes risk taking and encourages us to act in an exaggerated manner, with Neptune’s influence, today may not be the best day to take any chances. In addition, keep in mind the tendency to reveal secrets unknowingly. Watch what we are saying to others. To be a successful king or queen in life, we must govern with our wisdom first and our passions and feelings second.

Eyes on the Prize

Today is a day to watch that we do not spread ourselves too thin. Be cautious of overstepping your boundaries which often leads to mistakes. Jupiter is in position to challenge the Sun and Mars. We might feel the desire to be everywhere at once and overestimate our abilities. Fortunately, Mars is forming a positive aspect with Saturn. This encourages us to focus upon our goals, without allowing any turmoil or conflict to affect us. It also creates the potential to manifest successfully any project at hand. Mars is the planet of war, and we can use this power in a positive way by fighting against our own inner fears, lethargy, and doubts. The warrior can emerge from us, not to fight in the external world, but to fight and conquer any darkness that lies within ourselves.

Conviction With An Open Mind

Today, we have eight planets in earth signs. Considering there are only 10 planets in total, this adds up to a lot of earth energy! Wow! Earth, the element of manifestation and determination, is certainly on the map. We are gifted with the energy to move forward, plan, persevere, and manifest without folding to any challenge or obstacle. However, this strong earthy influence can pose problematic when the universe is guiding us to change directions and be more open to alternative ideas and opinions. We want to magnify the positive earth effects, today, and avoid being unchangeable, cold, and insensitive to our environment. Especially now, we want to keep our eyes and ears open to messages, while we walk in confidence and assuredness. The very message we need to help us change for the better and adopt a new reality could come to us, today. We would not want to miss this gift because we think we already know everything. As soon as we think we know it all, we shut off the Light of the Creator in our lives. Only when we remember how little we know, are we able to constantly draw Light and continue to learn.

Above the Clouds

Today, a once a year opposition between the Sun and Neptune is occurring. When two planets are aligned directly opposite each other, there is a power struggle and conflict between their two types of energies. The Sun, which represents our essence, soul, inner Light, and confidence, is struggling with Neptune and its energy of self-doubt, confusion, and illusion. Today, you might feel spiritually foggy. We might struggle to find a clear direction and begin to doubt our abilities and desires. On days like these, it is important to endure and work on gaining as much certainty and awareness of our inner Light as possible. Challenges and doubts are only in our lives to give us the opportunity to become stronger and persevere. Real clarity and strength are gained only in times of doubt and confusion. Just as a flame of a candle can be only be seen with the existence of darkness, our spiritual Light needs challenges in order to shine. Life’s obstacles are gifts from the Creator to help us grow, be fulfilled, manifest our truest potential, and shine our Light high above the clouds.

See the Forest and See the Trees

Today poses a bit of a challenge as the Sun is in the sign of Virgo, while the Moon is in the sign of Aquarius. We will need to strike the balance between these two opposite and different signs. Aquarius impels us to think big, go outside of the box, and find answers on a grander scale. Virgo asks us to look within, be mindful of every detail, and to seek perfection. The secret to success, today, is really using both approaches and achieving harmony between these two signs and their points of view. If you face a challenge, channel both the Virgo and the Aquarian. Look for solutions with the “big picture” approach and the “attention to details” approach. To help channel the Aquarian, ask yourself: Why is it in my life? What is a possible message? How can I act more like the Creator in this situation? How can others, as well, benefit from the solution? Meditate upon these questions while keeping in mind the “fine print.” Consider the steps that led up to the challenge. Analyze the path that brought you to this difficulty and see where the misstep occurred or what needs fixing or changing. When we have an unbalanced astrological influence, we can be quite lopsided. Today is actually a great blessing to have the influence of both ends of the spectrum. This creates balance in our thinking and in our actions. Balance allows us to unite duality and shows us the path to peace, prosperity, and harmony.

O.K., I Admit It. I Don’t Know Everything!

Self-confidence is important and valuable in any action that we take in life, especially when it has to do with our spiritual growth and transformation. Real confidence is found in knowing the Creator is always with us and directing us. Being open to learning and open to what the universe is trying to teach us is a quality of many successful people. With today’s square of Mars and Jupiter, we might feel that we have all the answers. Since this aspect is more on the challenging side, we should beware of the “know it all” syndrome! This aspect can be a bit risky as we might choose to act in ways that are completely out of bounds and even out of control. Mars is awakening aggressive energy and it is mixing with Jupiter’s self-righteousness. To combat this, take the time today to be more attentive, listen to others, and listen to what the universe is trying to tell you. If any conflict arises, make sure to stay away from reactive behavior. Even if you feel that you know better and are eager to make a response, restrict and ask the Light to guide you. Remind yourself that, after all, you do not have all the answers to life. Our vision is very limited. We cannot see the larger picture and what the Creator has in store for us. Oftentimes, news that at first seems like the very worst, in the end, becomes a blessing you did not even know you wanted.

Developing Super Power

Today offers us a gift with a challenge. With a full moon in Pisces, and the Sun and Neptune in opposition, the element of confusion with illusions can be strong. Even though usually the time of a full moon allows us to see more clearly and manifest positive things in our lives, this full moon is challenging, because Pisces and Neptune create for us smoke and mirrors. Since today there is the positive trine between the Sun and Pluto, we are directed to seek within in order to access our inner gifts, talents, and powers. This aspect is very supportive of a true spiritual awakening. At first, it might seem a bit unclear on how to move forward in life, but if you take the time to look inside yourself and connect to your true potential and desires, blessings will meet you. Today, the gift is found in the internal process and self-realization. It has been said that a life not analyzed is a life not worth living. We awaken, today, to the value of going within to discover our spirits, who we truly are, and what we came to this world to do.
